If your child is ill regular daycare fees still apply.  In turn if there is an illness in my family that warrants closure of the daycare I will contact you as soon as I become aware of it, please note depending on severity this may occasionally require you to pick your child up early from daycare or keep them home for the day on short notice. Please note all sick children should be picked up within an hour of receiving notification. A child who is sent home for illness should not return to daycare until they have been symptom free for 24 hours.
Please be sure to report any medications you may have given your child as well as any symptoms he/she may have been exhibiting prior to dropping them off to ensure their safety and comfort. If at any point I am not comfortable with a Child’s symptoms/illness and have concerns for the other children’s health or my own I reserve the right to refuse care until a letter from the Child’s doctor is received indicating the child is not contagious and poses no heath risk to others is received.
Medications – I reserve the right to refuse to administer certain medications if I feel I am not able to do so safely/comfortably. If this occurs you will need to keep the child in your care for the time they require the medication and all regular daycare fees will still apply.

I will assume that your child can be released to either parent at any given time unless I am presented with legal documents that show otherwise. If there is a custody order that refuses one parent contact with the child and that restricted parent shows up at my house to pick up the child I will call you and the police if necessary.
No one else will be permitted to pick up your child unless you have listed them on your registration form as “Persons (other than parents) authorized to pick up child or act on your behalf in an emergency.” Please note that even if you have listed the person(s) as an emergency contact I will require written permission from you to release your child for that specific date(s). I will require the persons drivers license number from you in advance and I will check the persons drivers license upon pick up.
Please note that you assume all responsibility and risk when you permit someone other then yourselves to pick up your child. It is your responsibility to ensure the person is fit to transport your child and that they have and know how to use a properly installed age and weight appropriate car seat for your child.
Lastly, if there is an emergency where you cannot be reached and I require your child be picked up your child will be released to your primary or secondary emergency contact without previous notification or your written consent. Every reasonable effort within my control will be made to contact you first and all risk and responsibility remains with the parents/guardians.
